Austrian Sounds is a Berlin based initiative focused on music since 1900 with a strong relation to Austria.
It was founded in 2013 by DJ, record collector, music enthusiast "koalblao" - originally from Upper Austria, moved to Berlin in 2001.
The goal of the uncommercial and independent project is to discover, promote and introduce Austrian music regardless of genre, style, mainstream or underground attributions by a facebook-group, mixtapes and regularly DJ sets in Berlin locactions with 100% Austrian Music.
Besides the sounds, the musicians, labels, their context and their stories are in the center of attention.
